Structural Biology, the Protein Data Bank and SARS-CoV-2

Lecture

RCSB Protein Data Bank: A living digital data resource supporting COVID-19 research

Prof. Stephen K. Burley (Rutgers IQB, RCSB PDB)

The PDB is the global archive of 3D structures of proteins and nucleic acids. A growing number of SARS-CoV-2 structures are available, and used to further our understanding of the virus for drug design and vaccine development.

This presentation focuses on the main protease, which is an attractive target for the design of antiviral drugs.
